What You Have To Do When It Gets Tough

Last Sunday, my elder sister entrusted me with an important task—bringing sound to my little niece’s birthday celebration. A party isn't complete without music, and I was determined to make it happen. After searching, I finally found a Bluetooth speaker with two microphones, but it was far away at Center Bolt.

Then the party day arrived, and as if to test my resolve, the heavens opened up. Rain poured down relentlessly from early morning. How was I supposed to reach the guy and get the speakers with all this rain? I waited, hoping the skies would clear but time was slipping away. Finally, I made a decision. I refused to let circumstances dictate my outcome. So, I stepped out into the storm, boarded a bike, and rode through the downpour.

For thirty long minutes, the rain drenched me as we pressed forward. Then, something incredible happened. As we approached Guinness Mile 3, we were greeted by dry roads. Not just dry but bathed in sunshine. The contrast was astonishing. I picked up the speaker, carried it back on a bike, and hurried home. By the time I arrived, the sun was shining there too.

This is life. Storms will come pain, disappointment, frustration. There will be moments when everything seems to be standing still, when darkness and obstacles surround you. But here’s the truth: you must keep moving. Move through the pain, move through the tears if you must but never stop. No matter how heavy the storm, keep pressing forward, because there is sunshine ahead. If you choose to wait, the sun may never shine where you are. But if you push forward, you will find the sunshine waiting for you. And when you return, you will bring the light with you.

Why? Because you are the sun. You carry the light within you, and as long as you keep moving, nothing can dim your brilliance.
