Poetry And Painting

What an incredible, late-afternoon spark of creativity with the brilliant shortlisted nominees of the Young English Cameroonian Writers Awards.

We traded pens for brushes and discovered that the heart of creation speaks a universal language. As we painted, powerful truths emerged

From increasing and training your focus to unintentional creation to telling the story exactly as you will want it in a picture.

Sometimes you start painting with a particular picture or creation in mind but at the end of the painting something new shows up. Sometimes more beautiful that you wanted or less than you intended. Creation did occur all the same. Same with poetry , you have an intended message to pass across but sometimes at the end of the poem, some other message unintended is portrayed . A poem has been written and a message has been passed.

Another time just a single line or dot on your painting gives a whole new idea for another painting and so too with poetry, a single line , a single Stanza or the entire poem may sometimes inspire another poem.

Thank you to the award nominees for this creat insights and for letting me lead them through this session.

We look forward to get the winners tomorrow. Goodluck to you all, you all are amazing.
