Mottanni Performs Alongside Bafana Pro Entertainment Band and Medine Yahje

BEHIND CHE, BAMENDA — August 2026

The Home Entertainment Tour continued yesterday at Behind Che Tap with an unforgettable evening of spoken word, reggae, and hip-hop. I had the honour of performing alongside the Bafana Pro Entertainment Band and sharing the stage with fellow spoken word artist Medine Yahje and other talented reggae and hip-hop artists.

The energy was electric. The people of Behind Che came out in full force, vibing to the poetry and music with open hearts and warm spirits.

The Performances

Fru Ndi
I opened my set with Fru Ndi, a meditation on grief, remembrance, and legacy—a tribute to those who have fallen and a declaration that their spirit lives on through us. The piece captures the raw question of loss: "Why now? Why you? Why we?" but rises into hope: "No be end this. Na de starting this."

Muyuh II
I also performed Muyuh II, a powerful piece on cyber crime and its consequences and effects in our community. This piece is a call to awareness—a reminder that the dangers of cyber crime are real, and the effects are devastating. It speaks to the youth, to the parents, to the community, and to all of us who must work together to protect each other.
