Call for Entries: Togho Student Creative Challenge 2026 – Heritage to Economy
The Togho Fashion Festival 2026 (TOFF 2026) is calling on university students to step into the story of Togho — not just as observers, but as creators, designers, filmmakers, and storytellers.
Under the theme “Heritage to Economy,” the Togho Student Creative Challenge invites students to reinterpret Togho, the iconic hand-embroidered regalia of the Grassfields, and to help move it from cultural heritage to sustainable creative economy.
Submission Deadline: November 20th, 2026.
What is the Togho Student Creative Challenge?
The Togho Student Creative Challenge is a competitive platform for university students to showcase their creativity while contributing to the protection and promotion of Togho.
Togho is not simply fabric. It is law, map, memory, and infrastructure. Each motif names a Fondom, a lineage, and a title. It is produced by the Mami Togho — women artisans whose knowledge is oral and endangered.
The challenge gives students the opportunity to learn, create, and present work that honours this heritage while building a modern creative economy around it.
Who Can Enter?
The challenge is open to university students.
Whether you are studying fashion, design, media, film, communication, or any other discipline, you are invited to participate.
