Another Session, Another Step Forward: Njangi for Creatives Bamenda Keeps Building
Last September, we gathered once again for another powerful session of our Njangi for Creatives—a beautiful reminder of why we started this journey and how far we have come.
A Space to Enlighten, Empower, and Support
Every session of our Njangi is more than a meeting. It is a space where creatives come together to:
- Enlighten each other through shared knowledge, experience, and fresh perspectives
- Empower one another with resources, strategies, and collective support
- Support our fellow creatives by investing in their dreams and projects
This session was no different. The room was filled with energy, ideas, and a shared commitment to growing ourselves and our industry.
What We Discussed
We explored new project ideas, shared strategies for growth, and discussed how we can continue to strengthen Bamenda's cultural and creative industries. From music to fashion, film to spoken word, digital arts to events—every discipline was represented, and every voice was heard.
The conversations were rich with insights and practical ideas. We talked about collaboration, market access, financial management, and how to build sustainable careers in the arts. Most importantly, we reminded each other that we are not alone in this journey.
Supporting One of Our Own
As always, we contributed our funds and came together to support one of our members in achieving a dream project in the arts. This is the heart of our Njangi—trusting that when one of us rises, we all rise.
We Keep Building
The creative industry in Bamenda is growing. And we are proud to be part of that growth. Every session, every contribution, every idea shared brings us closer to our vision of becoming Central Africa's first member-owned creative fund.
We keep building.
We keep going.
We keep moving.
One step at a time. One day at a time.
We are Bamenda's creatives. And we are just getting started.
