A Night of Revelation: Wrestling With Purpose at The Purpose Crusade

Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to attend The Purpose Crusade and it was nothing short of transformative. The energy in the room was electric, filled with young and old alike, all hungry for answers to life’s biggest question: Why am I here?

The speakers didn’t just deliver theories; they bared their souls. Through raw personal stories, sacred texts, and hard-won wisdom, they tackled the burning questions we all ask but rarely voice aloud:

- What is my purpose?

- Why is this my purpose?

- When will I fulfill it or will I even recognize it when I do?

- And if my life is all about purpose then who am I outside of it?

What fascinated me most was how each perspective, no matter how personal, always circled back to one undeniable truth: the existence of a Creator. Whether purpose is preordained or shaped by our choices, revelations, or even rebirth—well, that’s a debate for another day.

But here’s what still keeps me up at night

If being born African in Africa carries divine purpose why do we call it a "blessing" when we leave? Does your purpose change when you cross borders? Or was migration the purpose all along?

I applaud the organizers for sparking this fire in us. Now, the real work begins.
