A Landmark Residency at Bandjoun Station: Building Bridges Through Art
It is with great pride that we announce that Mottanni and Yi Kontri Pipo Band has been selected for a prestigious mini-residency at Bandjoun Station in the West Region of Cameroon, from November 25th to 27th.
Bandjoun Station, founded by renowned artist Barthélémy Toguo, is more than just an art center; it is a beacon for African creativity and a vital space for cultural exchange. This residency represents a significant milestone for the band and for Cameroonian arts, placing our local narratives on a prestigious international platform.
During this three-day intensive, the band will engage in dynamic collaborations and workshops with a curated group of artists and arts curators from #Belgium, #Congo, and #Cameroon. This is a fertile ground for cross-pollination—a place where the rhythms of Bamenda will converse with European and Central African artistic practices. It is an opportunity to forge new artistic languages, share methodologies for community engagement, and showcase the rich, innovative talent burgeoning in Cameroon.
You Are Cordially Invited: A Grand Finale Live Concert!
The culmination of this creative residency is a performance you cannot afford to miss! The band will synthesize their residency experiences into a single, powerful night of music and poetry.
We extend a heartfelt invitation to all Cameroonians—art lovers, students, families, and everyone in between—to come and witness the spectacular result.
