Abakwa Toks; Voices Unbound Call for Poets: Officially Closed

The call for Abakwa Toks: Voices Unbound has now closed.

And what a response it was.

Poets from across Bamenda and beyond raised their hands. Some have held microphones before. Some have only written in secret. But all of them said the same thing:

"I have something to say."

After a careful review of every application, 25 spoken word artists have been selected to begin this journey.

To every poet who applied—thank you for trusting us with your voice. If you were not selected this time, please know: this is not a goodbye. The stage is still being built, and you will be invited again.

To the 25 who made it—welcome. Your training begins soon. First online, together. Then the best of you will step onto the stage at Alliance Française Bamenda for a three-day transformation.

The rain in Bamenda has not stopped. But neither have we.
